Maria owns and runs Clear from the Crowd. She set up the company because she realised people can have great skills and experience. However, they may not know how to sell these to employers. One of the most important things about us, is that Maria spends time talking to her clients to really understand what makes everyone unique. This is why all the services at Clear from the Crowd are personally tailored.
During her career, Maria has been a Recruitment Consultant, placing people in both private and public sector organisations. She understands how candidates can build good relationships with recruitment agencies and get the most from them.
She also worked as a Resource Manager for five years for a multinational company. In this role she was responsible for the recruitment of hundreds of permanent employees and for contractor resourcing. She therefore understands what recruiters are looking for from candidates and how to present yourself in the best way at interview.
Maria has broad experience of working in a range organisations. She has been both an employee and contractor, helping complex organisations with change programmes. She has delivered at Director level and managed stakeholders in multi-national companies.
Maria has sound business experience. She set up and successfully ran her own business as a sole trader for eight years. The company started in her spare bedroom and grew to a business employing people, running on the high street.
For 15 years she has been the Director of her limited company, working as a contractor. This has given her an understanding of the best ways to sell your skills and experience to recruiters. Also, how to be proactive in finding the next role. She has been able to bring this knowledge into the services offered by Clear from the Crowd.
